Heating issue with HP Envy 14?

Is anyone else having heating issues with HP's new Envy 14? I have the i5-520m processor. While some reviews say it's cool to the touch, the right side of my keyboard gets warm quickly and often. Not boiling, but it feels like the warm heat is coming through the keys. Maybe the fans aren't turning on, any idea how to check for that?Heating issue with HP Envy 14?
I have an Envy 15-1050NR with the i7-720QM, 6GB's and ATI 5830 with 1GB dedicated graphics. I was highly concerned about heat as well when I bought mine, but haven't found to be an issue, and I'm sure mine will put out a lot more heat than yours considering its power. It's my understanding that the Envy 14 and 15's have two separate fans, one on the left, one on the right, and each has an independent thermostat so the fans will turn on only when needed. When I'm browsing the net and just checking e-mail, my fans runs at low speed. If I'm playing Starcraft 2 or another game, the fans typically will run at medium speed or full tilt, but there is still a little bit of heat coming from the palm rests and a little bit from the keyboard, but nothing too uncomfortable. I wouldn't be concerned with it. If you want to check the fans, well... put your ear up to the side.

Edit: See link for the best notebook coolpad ever.
You can usually hear the fans spinning or feel hot air being blown from the vents on the front of laptop. The Envy is made of metal, so it conducts heat much better than plastic laptops. Plus the i5 is a strong processor, so although it's not as bad as the i7, it can still work up a lot of heat. My advice is to buy a cooling pad for the laptop and to use it only on straight and firm surfaces (avoid beds and cushions).Heating issue with HP Envy 14?
Have a look in this HP forum: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Noteb鈥?/a> Type the word Heat in the search slot and chose from the drop-down menu.

Do you place the laptop on a firm surface so that there is an unobstructed cooling air-flow beneath the laptop? Have you tried a laptop cooling platform? http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8%26amp;oe鈥?/a>
