Help! which laptop is better? Sony Vaio Ea or Hp Envy 14?

i need a laptop for college and i've narrowed it down to two choices.

it's either sony vaio or hp envy 14.

which one would be better? more durable, better battery life?

easier to use?

Sony Vaio has better Built. I have personal experience on Laptops and desktops so suggesting you to buy Sony Vaio.

Im not in favor of HP from the very beginning because i have seen problems like DVD writer (not reading) problem, LCD problem ,Touchpad Problem and Battery Problem.

All the batteries are Rechargable Batteries so they charged 1000 times and long for max of 3 years . But in case of HP ,battery dies before it reached its limit ...

On charging of 400 times or other, battery fails to get detect and gets dead.



Secondly Buy Laptop in 14 inch because 15.4 inch becomes bulky to carry . And must buy a Warranty of 3 years or with Extended Warranty because laptop Parts are not easily repairable and most of the time required REPLACEMENT of the spare. And u shud know that if Hard Disk costs Rs.4000 ,then at the time of purchase u get it just for Rs.1000. Means to say that Spare is 4 times costlier than the original purchase in case of Laptops. So must buy LONG Warranty of 3 yrs so that u can replace the part within the period.



HP also a good laptop but it gives much problem and each spare required to replace in warranty period due to its built quality. So better to buy Sony Vaio ;)

otherwise go for LENOVO or Thinkpad Products. The get easily replaced within warranty and hardly gets Faulty in its lifetime . They are rough n tough and have better support after sales.
out of those 2 specs, the HP does but an Asus brand laptop beats HP for reliability

Well you can narrow it down to specs.

Which has better RAM? Faster Processor? Higher cell battery?

Usually the Viaos are more durable, but it depends on the model.

You just need to take a look at the system specs, because that's what matters.

Easier to use depends on operating system, unless you mean physical in which case thats your opinion.

HP's are good machines, but they have manufacturing issues

sony usually makes a solid laptop, but you get less bang for the buck



I usually recommend DELL simply because you get the most for your money
