Hp envy 14 battery life?

i got the hp envy 14 beats edition laptop. i like it alot. but the battery life is an issue! fully charged it only says 1 hour and 9 minutes!?!? i will then recharge it again when its like 60%, it will fully charge and then say like 8 hours of battery!? then ill close the notebook put it in sleep mode and come back maybe 5 minutes later to the same % in the 90s but it will be back to an hour.....



anyone else having this problem? ive called HP a number of times and everytime they say someone from the hardware dept will call me back within 48hrs.....never have so far!!

Hey I just purchased the HP Envy as well, but it's the black one called the HP Envy Beats Edition. I bought it for college this fall. Anyways, I just want to say yeah the battery life sucks. On the HP website it claims that it has around 4 to 6 hours of battery life as well. Although most people say that you can watch a DVD for about 3.25 hours on this computer. I love this computer to but battery life just plain sucks. I think fully charged my computer can last a little over 3 hours of work and internet surfing. I'm even considering purchasing a separate battery for school. Oh, I also have a problem of my battery life fluctuating as well. Yesterday night when my battery was a 92%, it said I had 4:06 hours of battery life. This afternoon at 92% it says I only have 2:30 hours of battery life... If HP ever gets back to you tell me what they said haha.





Also: Do you have a problem with the fan? My fan isn't loud loud, but it's not exactly quiet either....
