What to do ???? HelpWow almost had a sure decision on the hp envy 14 but since I noticed it dies not offer antivirus protection...?
No desktops or laptops that I know of are sold with the full versions of antivirus or Internet security software. Some brands will give you a 30- or 90-day trial of Norton or McAfee, but after that you either have to pay for a year's subscription or uninstall the program. I like HP's Envys a lot. What I'd suggest if you can't afford the $70 or so for a full retail Internet security suite is to download and install AVG Antivirus:

And then ZoneAlarm's firewall:

They're both completely free, very effective and very popular. You don't get the all-in-one integration like you would with Norton/McAfee/Kaspersky but they'll keep your computer protected. Also, coming into the holiday season, you can often find deep discounts on those retail suites. Last year I got Norton 2010 for $30 after $40 worth or rebate came back. If you keep your eyes open for those sales you can get the best software for half price, and they come with a 3-user license, so you can have it installed and running on any three different computers. Share with friends! But for now, if I were you, I'd order the Envy and just use the free software.
