I am looking for a new laptop for school work and such.
What do you recommend? doesn't matter if its a mac or a pc
I want it to be worth the paying, like even though macs cost a fortune, I like them b/c of all the applications that can be stored on them.
Any answer is accepted.
Please give a specific type and some details:
(ex. HP Envy 14, Great sound quality, etc)
ThanksWhat new laptop do you recommend?
Buy the HP Envy 14.
- Sleek and solid build quality and premium design.
- All aluminum, no plastic or cheap parts.
- Windows 7 64-bit Operating System, fast, simple and clean.
- Comes default from HP with 6GB of DDR3 RAM, which is plenty. RAM is basically your computer's storage for tasks and processes. The more the better. 6GB is a lot for a laptop. It's upgradeable to 16GB. There's an option to upgrade the stock 500 Gigabyte HDD (7200 RPM) to a 750 Gigabyte HDD (7200 RPM). There are several other hard drive options including solid state drives which are extremely fast. You'll be able to store all of your music, programs, games, documents, and anything else with no trouble.
- It's got an Intel Core i5 processor that's normal speed is 2.3 GHz and it sky rockets to 2.9 GHz with Intel's Turbo Boost feature. That's VERY fast. You'll be able to do all of your daily tasks quickly and snappy.
- It's a low heat laptop, with great battery life. The processor is very quiet and you can get 5 to 5+1/2 hours of battery life with the 8-cell lithium ion battery. There's also an option to get the slim fit extended life battery that attaches to the bottom of the laptop and adds around a half an inch (maybe a little less than an inch) to the laptop, but it gives the laptop up to 14 hours of usage in total. (it's a 6-cell lithium ion).
- It's got an HP Brightview 1366x760 display, 720p HD, that is. It also has an HP Truevision HD webcam. It's a 14.5 inch wide screen. So it's not too small (13 inches) and not too big (15.6 inches). It's pretty thin and light-weight, making it easy to transport and take with you to school and such.
- It's got Dr. Dre Beats Audio speakers and software which provide rich sound and even better sound when you've got head phones/speakers/ear buds plugged in.
- It has an awesome blue back-lit keyboard, with great keys, and a spacious touch pad (click pad) that supports many multi-touch gestures.
- It also comes with a 1GB AMD Radeon graphics card which will make gaming mainstream gaming easy on medium to high settings. These are what AMD calls, switchable graphics. This means that if you aren't gaming or doing anything that requires the high level graphics you can turn on the power saving mode which drastically increases battery life. Then when you want to game you can switch the graphics back on, to the high performance mode.
- And last but not least, it costs half of what a Macbook costs but has 3x better hardware. This computer costs $999.00 plus tax with free shipping and handling if bought from HP. You can upgrade this computer to your liking and add whatever else you'd like to it, starting from the base price point of $999.00. Check out this link for more info: http://www.shopping.hp.com/laptop/envy
You can also get a student discount that takes 100 dollars off of the Envy, making it's starting price $899.00, and once you are finished you can add the coupon code MU7608 and that'll take another 50 dollars off of your order. I think this is your best choice.
*If you like the mac OS, you can install it onto your PC and I can tell you how. And also, Adobe(R) Photoshop(R) Elements 9 %26amp; Adobe Premiere(R) Elements 9 come pre-installed on the Envy.
oh my gosh!! i just bought the MacBook Pro and i absolute love it!! this is my first laptop and I'm glad i didn't even look at the other computers it was a lil pricy but it is well worth it i wldnt change it for anything else!! so many things you can do with it!
**if you are shopping with best buy ask about the student discount it saved me 100$ only 1099$$ they also have a deal for Windows for Mac with purchase of a computer its only 99$.What new laptop do you recommend?
You should definitely get a base model macbook pro. The 13 inch one. It works just fine. Best computer I've had in years. And It's worth every dollar. Buy from best buy though. Their warranty is so much better than apple care. Because they cover accidents.
Macbook pro 13" or 15"
Pretty much no viruses, pretty compatible with pc stuff, and if u rly need to, u can even run windows on a mac.
With this ur looking at a minimum of $1199
