Need help with finding a laptop for college!!?

I'm stuck between the Acer Aspire Timelinex 5830tg-6402 and the new HP Envy 14 (both at base specs)



Envy- better graphics, backlit keyboard, good trackpad, metal chassis, slot-loading drive, faster hard drive, less battery life



Asipre- more USB ports, longer battery life, numeric keypad, larger hard drive, annoyingly placed trackpadNeed help with finding a laptop for college!!?

I recently got a new HP a week ago and it's horrible.

It always drops wireless connection (this is a common problem with HP I'm guessing after some research) and my laptop also beeps randomly on start up and has trouble starting up, which just happens to be a common problem as well. Plus the battery life is about 2 hours..

Idk if this will help you or not, but I heard from multiple people that Acer isn't a very good computer brand type thing.
