New Baseball Glove?

I have a Mizuno Envy 14 inch glove that I got in April. It's semi-broken in and it's got pretty good leather. The only thing I want to change about it is I want to darken the leather and harden it up. What can I use to do this? Best answer gets 10 points.New Baseball Glove?
You can use leather oil or pine tar. Leather oil will darken it and break it in better...Pine tar will darken it, make it sticky and a little harder. I would go with leather oil. You can get oil for your mit at a local sports store. It will make your glove darker, help to break it in better, and make the leather a little bit stiffer.

If its semi-broken in, then why would you want to harden it up? Anyways, if you're glove becomes too soft, you can try wetting it in cold water(but not to waterlog it) and then either blow-dry it or let it dry out in some non-humid heat. Repeat it a few times and let it sit out. That should do the trick.



I don't know about the darkening the leather part, maybe some sort of dye? Or just buy a darker glove.

If you put some glove oil on it might darken it a little, not sure how long it will stay though. Not sure you want to harden it up normally the softer the leather the better.
don't put any conditioners on it, it would only make it more broken in! and DO NOT wet the glove, it will make your glove heavy and a little more broken in. leave it out in the cold weather for a couple of days, or put it by an air conditioner. but dont put it in the fridge or freezer!

first off do not put pine tar on your glove as it will ruin it. do not put it in water because it will make it too heavy. Also do not put it out in the cold weather or by the air conditioner because the leather will crack. Go to Wal-Mart or some place similar and buy Mink Oil it will darken that leather right up and clean it also. I would also recommend putting it on there every month or so to clean the glove off because you will get it dirty.
